3. AI providers and prompt processing
When you ask a question, wikis.ai may send your prompt, relevant conversation context, selected files, and required instructions to third-party AI providers such as OpenAI, Anthropic, Google, or other providers shown in the model picker.
We share only the information needed to generate the requested response. Provider processing is also governed by our agreements with those providers and their applicable privacy and security terms. Do not submit secrets, regulated data, or personal information you are not authorized to share.
4. Local storage, cookies, and similar technologies
We may use browser storage, cookies, and similar technologies to maintain sessions, save local conversation history, remember theme and layout preferences, measure usage, and protect the service. Browser settings may allow you to remove or block these technologies, but some features may stop working.
5. How we share information
We do not sell your personal information. We may disclose information in the following limited circumstances:
- To AI model providers and infrastructure vendors that process information on our behalf.
- To payment, analytics, security, customer support, and hosting providers needed to operate the service.
- When required by law, legal process, or a valid request from a competent authority.
- To protect users, wikis.ai, or others from fraud, abuse, security threats, or violations of our Terms.
- As part of a merger, financing, acquisition, reorganization, or sale of assets, subject to appropriate safeguards.
6. Retention and deletion
We retain information only as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes described above, including providing conversation history, meeting legal obligations, resolving disputes, and preventing abuse. Account tools may let you export or delete locally stored conversations. You may also request account or personal-data deletion by contacting us. Some records may be retained where required by law or for security and fraud-prevention purposes.
7. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures designed to protect information. No online service can guarantee absolute security, so you should use a strong password, protect your account, and avoid sending highly sensitive information through AI prompts.
8. Your choices and privacy rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to, or receive a portable copy of certain personal information. You may also have the right to withdraw consent or appeal a privacy decision. Contact us to submit a request; we may need to verify your identity before responding.
9. Children
wikis.ai is not directed to children under 13, or the minimum age required in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children who may not legally use the service.
10. International processing
Our providers may process information in countries other than your own. Where required, we use appropriate contractual or legal safeguards for international data transfers.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this Privacy Policy as the service, providers, or legal requirements change. We will publish the updated date and provide additional notice when a change is material.
